COMPLETION OF HOLLAND LATE MODEL KAYAK POOLS 100 |
|
Holland, NY: The North East Late Model Series Kayak Pools 100, interrupted by rain with 24 laps completed on July 12th, will now be completed on Saturday, September 13th, according to Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex General Manager Tim Bennett. The final 76 laps had been tentatively set for August 30th as a prelude to the already scheduled Late Model Budweiser 100 on that date, but after further consideration, it was decided to run the events on separate calendar dates. “We had to consider a lot of factors,” indicated Bennett, “but we decided that by separating the events, we eliminate the chance that problems in the first race could keep teams from competing in the second race.” Therefore, the Budweiser 100 for the North East Late Model Series will go off as scheduled on Saturday, August 30th, with no further adjustments to that slate of events. Saturday, September 13th will be the final day of racing for 2008 at Holland, and the final 76 laps of the Kayak Pools 100 will cap off a full program of racing on that date. All divisions will be in action for their season championship points events, including the NASCAR Sunoco SST Pro Modifieds, LAMOT Late Models, Carquest Chargers, Native Pride Pro Fours, INEX Legends, Alliance Auto Recycling Figure 8 Cars, Thiel Motorsports Hornets and Queen Bees, along with an appearance by the traveling Cup Lites Series. When the Kayak Pools 100 goes back to green, Todd Hoddick will be leading the field. Adult general admission on September 13th will be $20.00. Those holding a rain stub from July 12th (all racing but for the final 76 laps of the Kayak Pools 100 was completed on July 12th) will receive a $5.00 discount on a September 13th general admission ticket. Race time on September 13th will be 5:30 pm. For more information, contact the Holland office at (716) 537-2272 or visit the Holland web site at www.hollandspeedway.com. |
