Laps of Feature Racing!!!
Dunn Tire raceway Park
will be celebrating the speedway's 50th Anniversary on
Saturday, August 9th with an action packed card of stock car
racing!
On
the schedule are the Thiel Motorsports 4 Cylinders who will be racing a
20 lap feature, the Able Agency Insurance Street Stocks who will compete
for 50 laps in the Linda Tasca Memorial Race, the Super Stocks who are
racing in a 25 lap feature, and the Lorigo Insurance SST Sportsman which
are slated for a 50 lap feature.
The
highlight of the night will be the 100 lap feature race for the Race of
Champions Modified Tour. The 600 horsepower McGard Mighty
Modifieds will battle side by side around the famed 5/8th
oval for a chance to be immortalized in the speedway's history.
The race will feature the premier Modified drivers in the Northeast
including Jan Leaty, Superman Sege Fidanza, Billy Putney, Mike Leaty,
Pistol Pete Brittain, Karl Hehr, Buck Catalano, teenage phenom Erick
Rudolph, and others. In addition NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour
drivers Chuck Hossfeld, Matt Hirschmann, and Eric Beers will be on hand
to challenge for the win.
The
back gate for competitors will open at 2pm, with practice starting at
3pm.
Front grandstands for fans will open at 4pm.
Heat
racing will begin promptly at 6:30pm, not the 4pm that was previously
advertised.
