North East, PA – Saturday, July 31, 2010 - Ponderosa Steakhouse Night at the Races brought in the fans as rookie Lexi Wilson got her fourth win of the season in the Street Stocks and Steve Sunday got his first win in 2010 in the Career Concepts Legends Feature.

In the first race of the night, #34b Brandon Huffman of Corry , PA got his second win of the 2010 season in the Jensens Target Collision Compacts Feature. After a crash took place before lap one was even complete, Huffman took control of the race and never lost his lead. #95 Jonathan Breads of Westfield, NY was his closest competition, trailing Huffman closely for the entire fifteen laps. #43 Jason Johnson of Pierpont, OH finished in a distant third and current points leader, #51 Jamie Hebner of Fredonia, NY finished the race in fourth.

The Bandoleros Feature saw #69 Brody Wood of Corry, PA and #81 Michael Walker of McKeesport, PA in a photo finish, as Wood got his second win of the season. Wood and Walker battled out front for most of the race, often side by side. While Walker lead for the beginning of the race, Wood was able to hold the lead for the last four laps. Rookie #3 Jeff Dunfee III of Mantua, OH was able to end the race in third place, #33 Melissa Brockman of Eden, NY took home fourth, and five time winner this season #26 Anthony Riforgiato of Portland, NY finished in fifth.

During the twenty five laps of the Street Stock Feature, three different cars had the top spot at one point. #55 Ken Moore Jr. of Jamestown, NY, #1 Jeff Campbell of Harborcreek, PA, and #21 Lexi Wilson of Hamburg, NY each had the lead at some point, but Wilson took advantage of a caution at lap twelve and held on until the end of the race. Moore had a small lead at lap ten, when Wilson moved into second. When the caution was called, Wilson was able to take the lead from Moore and create a large gap from the rest of the pack to get her fourth win of her rookie season. # 51 Ryan Corso of Atlanta , NY finished the race in second, # 71 Rich Miler of Sinclairville , NY placed third, and #1 Jeff Campbell of Harborcreek , PA finished in fourth.

After three immediate cautions, the Career Concepts Legends were finally underway. #21 Patrick Lyden of Erie, PA pulled ahead and lead the race for the first twelve laps before current points leader, #39 Jeremy Haudricourt of Bliss, NY moved ahead of Lyden. #25 Steve Sunday of Dewittville , NY was also able to pass Lyden to take over second, and then moved into first at lap twenty. Sunday was able to hold on to first place and finished there to get his first win in 2010. Haudricourt finished in second, Lyden in third, and #98 Brett Coon of Elma , NY finished in fourth.

After pausing the race before the Modifieds Feature and getting just nine laps in, the rest of the Modifieds and the Plyler Overhead Door Late Models Feature were cancelled due to inclement weather.

Next Saturday, August 7th, will be a special night as Team Car Warz (formerly Crash a Rama) visits the Speedway . Regular racing will be back in action two weeks from tonight on Saturday August 14th with All Six Divisions racing.
