RAIN FORCES POSTPONEMENT OF HOLLAND JUNE 20th PROGRAM

BUSY NIGHT NOW SET FOR JUNE 27th

.

Morning long rains and the forecast of more to come forced the first complete event  postponement of the season at the Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex on Saturday, June 20th.  The decision to call off the slated program was made at approximately 9:30 AM.

However, this postponement sets up a packed program on Saturday, June 27th.  As per the original schedule, the NASCAR Ragingwolf.com SST Pro Modifieds will be in action – numerous drivers have made the commitment> to race at Holland each Saturday race date, and Holland is committed to having the division as part of each regular Saturday night race date, with points toward the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series on the line.

In addition to the Pro Modifieds, the Carquest Chargers, Native Pride Pro Fours, and M&M U-Pull-It Figure 8 Cars will be on the slate.  The Late Models of Tomorrow will have their scheduled special event adjusted to a 30 lap distance, and the Thiel Motorpsorts Hornets and Queen Bees will be on the card, as per the original calendar.  The Casey’s TQ Midget Series will have their rained-out June 20th> appearance moved to the June 27th date.    (The Cup Lites Series will have their rained-out June 20th visit re-scheduled on a fut ure date to be announced.)

Plus - the June 27th date will be capped off with a car jumping stunt by Holland’s own Jimmy “Flying Elvis” Gnojek - Elvis promises a new twist that will make this jump a memorable experience for those on hand.

In addition - the kids rides and the Bank of Holland Gold Rush penny hunt, originally slated for June 20th, have been re-scheduled for June 27th, as well.

And - all the admission discounts originally set for June 20th will now
be honored on June 27th, in addition to the discounts already planned
for June 27th .  The Father’s Day family grandstand  pass special ($15 for two adults and all the kids in the household) will be available on the 27th, along with the Boy Scout special - any Boy Scout appearing in full uniform will be admitted free of charge.  Ladies Night ($5.00 grandstand admission for any female fan in attendance) and the Disco Night Special ($5.00 grandstand admission for any fan attending in ‘70's style disco attire) will take place, as originally planned.

Advanced Auto Electric and the Bank of Holland will be the presenting sponsors of the evening’s activities.


The time schedule of events has been adjusted as follows:

Pits open at 3:45 PM
Grandstand gates open at 4:15 PM
On track practice will run from 4:00 to 5:30 PM
Kids rides will start at 5:30 PM
Racing will begin at 6:15 PM
Racing will break and the Bank of Holland Gold Rush penny hunt will begin at 7:00 PM
The racing program will resume after the Gold Rush Jimmy “Flying Elvis” Gnojek will perform his car jump stunt to complete the program
