(North East, PA- August 29, 2009)  Lake Erie Speedway welcomed the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series for a 100-lap feature on Saturday night, plus select Speedway divisions including the Street Stocks, Boyer RV Center Bandoleros, Career Concept Legends, and Jensens Target Collision Compacts. Presented by Country 98, Saturday’s Truck Series feature was the last special event of the season held at the Speedway, with one last night of racing next Saturday that wraps up the year. 

        The night began with eleven Boyer RV Center Bandoleros racing twelve laps. The first caution flag of the night was thrown when #81 Michael Walker and #39 Blake Clabbatz collided during Lap 2. #26 Anthony Riforgiato held onto the first position for the first eight laps of the race, with #1 Brandon DeBrakeleer close behind. DeBrakeleer took the lead during Lap 9, while at the same time #69 Brody Wood spun out, causing another caution. #21 Alexis Wilson moved into second position during Lap 10 and Walker moved into third position at the same time. DeBrakeLeer was able to hold onto his position to come in first place, followed by Wilson, Walker, Riforgiato, and Clabbatz rounding out the top 5.

        Next on the track were the Jensens Target Collision Compacts. #34b Brandon Huffman started the race out in front, with #96 Greg Irish in second position and #77 Dave McAvoy fighting for third position. McAvoy took over second position during Lap 5 and Irish moved into third position. #95 Jonathan Breads passed Irish during Lap 10 for the third position an #17m Rich Miller passed Irish as well for the fourth position. Huffman was able to hold onto his lead position for fifteen laps, coming in first place, with McAvoy in second, Breads in third, Miller in fourth, and Irish in fifth place.

        The Street Stocks were next on the track to race twenty laps. Nine cars started the race, with #83 Russ Conti starting out in first position. #1 Jeff Campbell trailed close behind Conti and #99 Dennis Kszos remained tight on Campbell. #11 Ed Hall left the race during Lap 7 with a flat tire, causing a caution flag to be thrown. Conti and Campbell remained side-by-side for over ten laps of the race, but Campbell was unable to make the pass. Conti finished in first place, Campbell in second place, #78 Chris Crossman in third place, Kszos in fourth place, and #01 Leslie Bohrer in fifth place.

        Following the intermission, the Career Concepts Legends entered the track to race twenty laps. #3 Zac Carter started the race in first position but #8 Justin Hines quickly took over during Lap 6. #25 Steve Sunday moved into third position during Lap 9 and then into second position during Lap 10. #39 Jeremy Haudricourt stayed in the fourth position for over ten laps but was closely followed by #9 Larry Occhibone. Hines held onto the lead for the remainder of the race, with Sunday coming in second place, Carter in third place, and Haudricourt and #38w Daniel Weaver in fourth and fifth places, respectively.

        The last race of the night featured twenty trucks from the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series, a special event race that ended the night. #33 Brian Nester started the 100-lap race in first position, followed by #31 Nick Gullatta #7 Paul Hahn in third position. #19 Danny Jackson and #13 The Phantom both held onto the fourth and fifth positions for over twenty laps until a caution flag was thrown during Lap 29 when Gullatta spun out. #23 Mike Young pulled into fourth position after the caution flag and #99 Steve Christman pulled into fifth position. During Lap 34, #39 Rob Jones, The Phantom, and #81 Eric Redmond all collided in turn 3, causing a caution flag to be thrown and the clean-up crew to go to work. Hahn pushed his way to the front during Lap 49, while Christman moved into fourth position, ahead of Young. #52 Kenny Kirsch spun out during Lap 54, causing yet another caution flag to be thrown. #41 Nathan Trepkowski moved into fifth position during Lap 97 and then to fourth position during Lap 98. Hahn held his position for the rest of the race, placing first in the 100-lap race. Nester finished in second place, followed by Jackson in third, Trepkowski in fourth, and in fifth came #17 Chris Bailey Jr.
