Lake Erie Speedway presented its Driver/Sponsor Appreciation Night and Autograph Night on Saturday for its third weekend of racing, as well as a Street Stock feature race with 35 laps. Presented by ESPN radio, about 4,000 people were in attendance for the races.

The first feature race of the night was the Boyer RV Center Bandoleros. Eleven cars took to the track, with #97 Darrin Waldron leading the pack. The first caution flag of the night was thrown when #26 Anthony Riforgiato and #69 Brody Wood tangled up collecting #21 Alexis Wilson during the first lap. #9 Carl Vilardo IV and #1 Brandon DeBrakeleer held the 2nd and 3rd place position until Waldron removed himself into the infield. #81 Michael Walker lost control during Lap 5 and another yellow flag was thrown. Vilardo IV took the lead in Lap 5 with DeBrakeleer right on his heels, until #71 Tyler McArdle and #23 Devon Moore both spun out during Lap 8 causing yet another caution flag. During the same lap, both #33 Melissa Brockman and Walker were towed off the track with car problems. With only two laps remaining, Moore removed herself, followed by another caution flag. After #69 Brody Wood entered the infield during Lap 11, only four Bandoleros remained in the race. Vilardo IV took 1st place, followed by DeBrakeleer, #39 Blake Clabbatz and Riforgiato.

The Jensens Target Collision Compacts were next on the track, with twenty cars racing fifteen laps. #39 Michael Egger led the Compacts for the first three laps until #17m Rich Miller took a strong lead. #95 Jonathan Breads then took the lead in Lap 8 followed by a caution flag in Lap 10. #77 Julie McAvoy and #7 Angela McAvoy battled for 2nd position until Julie McAvoy slipped by her right before the finish line. Angela McAvoy finished in third, then #21 Mike Neubauer and #14 Jim Tobin.

The third feature race of the night showcased the Street Stocks who took to the track for 35 laps. #83 Russ Conti took an early lead, followed by #1 Jeff Campbell and #01 Leslie Bohrer racing into Lap 3. The first caution flag was thrown during Lap 12 when #19 Kaity Kicinski spun out. Conti and Campbell battled side-by-side for over five laps until Conti once again gained the lead. After stalling behind the lap car #35 Larry Houser, Conti lost his first place position and Campbell took the lead into Lap 22. #99 Dennis Kszos snuck into the 2nd position during Lap 28, right in front of Conti in third position. After taking a lengthy lead in Lap 33, Campbell finished in first place, followed by Kszos, Conti, #21 Dave Wilson, and Bohrer.

Following the intermission, twelve Career Concepts Legends entered the track to race 25 laps. #33 Dave Simile took the early lead but was quickly passed by #8 Justin Hines in Lap 6. #25 Steve Sunday raced to 2nd position after lapping #3 Zac Carter. #21 Patrick Lyden moved into third position, with #39 Jeremy Haudricourt close on his heels during Lap 16. A caution flag was thrown during Lap 20 after #26 Cody Myers spun out. Hines held the lead for the rest of the race, followed by Sunday in 2nd place, Lyden in 3rd place, and Haudricourt and #9 Larry Occhibone in 4th and 5th places, respectively.

The next feature race of the night was the Dodge Modifieds. #11 Casey Swabik pulled out in front, but #1 Terry Akerly then gained the lead in Lap 4. #24 Randy Culver lapped Swabik in Lap 7 and took over the 2nd position. Akerly remained in the lead until Lap 16 when he drifted towards the wall, spun out, and removed himself from the race. Culver took over the first position, followed by #28 Dale Murdock, until Murdock spun out in Lap 19 and took a position at the back of the line. Culver ended the race in the lead, followed by #32 Eric McCray, #22 Ken Moore, and #14 Carter Mook and #17 Eric Bohrer rounding out the top five.

The last race of the evening showcased the forty-lap Plyler Overhead Door Late Model feature event. #17 Chris Bailey Jr. started the race in the first position, followed by #2 Ron Nurmi, who quickly took the lead in Lap 3. #59 Bryce Scott moved in front of Bailey Jr. in Lap 6, when a caution flag was thrown after #2x Greg Forcht’s bumper fell off. During Lap 11, both #52 Joe Bizzaro and #04 Bret Guzik collided, causing various car parts to end up on the track. A caution flag was thrown after Jeff Brown was tapped during Lap 14 and spun out, sending much debris into corner 1. In Lap 21, Bizzaro and #32 Glenn Gault Jr. collided, causing Gault Jr.’s car to be removed from the track. Gault Jr. then left the track in the ambulance and was reported to be ok with no injuries as the cars restarted their engines to continue the race. For the last ten laps, Nurmi and #65 George Skora III battled for the first position, neck-and-neck until Nurmi crossed the finish line in front of Skora III. Bailey Jr. finished in third, followed by Scott and #9 Will Thomas.
