Delevan, NY-  8/14- On another Friday night with great weather on hand the track surface at Arcade International Raceway was once again very tacky and racy.  John Lacki of Sinclairville and Andy Michael of Ischua both scored their 7th wins on the season in the FASTRAK Late Models and Street Stocks, respectively.  Richard Michael Jr., Levi Watson, and John Ellwood took down wins in the E-mods, Mini Stocks, and Pure Stocks.
The night’s Street Stock 20 lap main was paced by Brian Peterson Jr. (40) and Don Chapman (07).  Meanwhile, usual front-runners Andy Michael (17x) and Adam Sixt (6T) would make up the fourth row.  By lap 3, a three-way battle between Kevin Dzuroff (07x), Steve Mowery (48s) and Andy Michael was shaping up, however it would be cut short by a caution at the end of lap three.  On the restart, a melee in turn one occurred between Tim Bruce (75), Paul Davies (17), Chad Green (12), and others. After the cleanup, the race was once again restarted with Andy Michael getting a great start to come from 4th to 2nd by turn one.  The following lap, he would get under the 40 of Peterson to take the lead and would continue uncontested from that point.  Meanwhile, Adam Sixt was making his own charge to the front, taking 5th by lap 5, 4th on the following lap, and 3rd by lap 8.  Sixt had a bit tougher of a battle with Peterson, which lasted 5 laps until he was able to get by at lap 13.  After a restart which caused the 6T to have to be put back behind the 40 again, Sixt was able to take back second but didn’t have enough time to run down Andy Michael who scored his seventh AIR Street Stock victory of the season.
Chad Silleman (47) and Darren Tarabori (6) would bring the E-mod feature to the green flag.  Tarabori went to the early lead while John Woodward Jr. (18) and Chad Silleman battled for 2nd behind him.  The lead would be short lived, however as the #6 of Tarabori would break on lap 3.  The following lap, now challenging for the lead, Woodward would touch the left rear of Silleman, spinning out the 18 and bringing out a caution.  This allowed Rich Michael (17x) and last week’s winner Justin Carlson (16) to start 2nd and 3rd on the restart.  Using the high side of the speedway, Michael would jump to the lead on the restart. Silleman was able to give Carlson a bit more of a battle, but Carlson would grab second away on lap 8.  Meanwhile, John Woodward was making a charge back to the front after his early-race mishap.  By lap 10 he had recovered to 5th, but would make his final pass of the race on Justin Tatlow (81) for 4th on lap 17.  Richard Michael Jr. went on to take his third victory of the season by a narrow margin over Justin Carlson as the leaders caught traffic coming to the finish line.
With Tom Kemp (28K) and John Lacki (7) making up the front row of the FASTRAK Late Model feature, anyone would have guessed Lacki would take the win.  However, it did not come as easily as it could have as Tom Kemp and Jim Frank (14*) both were able to get by Lacki in the early going.  By the 2nd lap, Lacki had cleared Frank then moved on to battle Kemp for the top spot.  The two would battle back-and-forth for three laps until on lap 5 Lacki was able to make the pass stick and begin to pull away.  While Lacki yet-again showed everyone how to get around AIR, Dereck Frank (16*) was working on passing former AIR Super Stock champion Tim Schram (1s).  The battle lasted for nearly the entire final ten laps, but Frank couldn’t muster enough strength to get by. Lacki cruised to his 7th victory of the season over Kemp and Jim Frank.
In the 15 lap Mini Stock feature, Levi Watson would take the lead from his pole starting position and never look back.  Behind him, Randy Lanager (03) would work his way to second getting around Chris Paar (9x) and Brandon Blauser (15B).  Paar and Lanager would battle with 5 laps remaining, however Lanager was able to hold off Paar’s advances to finish second.  Brad Ullman (46x) it yet another re-numbered car, this time a neon, would round out the top three.  Usual front-runner Nick Snayczuk would recover from a heat race crash and a 12th starting position to take a solid 4th place.  At the front, it was all Levi Watson, cruising to his fourth victory of the season.
Nine cars would take the green for the Pure Stock feature, the best field yet for the class at AIR.  Zach Hamer (7) would go to the early lead, while Blane Krott (72) would attempt to take it away.  Krott however would spin himself while trying to go to the inside of Hamer at the end of lap one.  After the restart, John Ellwood (27) and Fred Ely (00) jumped to the front of the field.  Krott, like shot from a cannon used the high-side to get back to fourth.  Ely would go to work on Ellwood by lap 6, and would go on trying to find a way by for the remaining distance.  Last week’s winner, Curt Pastorius (42), would recover from an early race spin to take fifth while up front Ellwood was able to hold of Ely for his sixth feature win of the season.
