46th ANNUAL HOLLAND LATE MODEL BUDWEISER 100

SET FOR AUGUST 29th
.

The second of the two annual major events on the Holland NASCAR
Motorsports Complex schedule, the Budweiser 100 for the “super” Late Models, will be featured on Saturday, August 29th at the Western New York oval.   This years edition of the race is the 46th, continuing its tradition as the oldest continuously run major racing event in Western New York, with the race run every year since it’s inaugural in 1964 as the Holland 100.

The race, traditionally scheduled over the last 25 years plus on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, has been moved a week earlier this year due to the late occurrence of Labor Day and potential scheduling conflicts with other late season racing specials.

Todd Hoddick will be back to defend his 2008 Bud 100 race win, but should find some stiff challenges from the likes of 2006 and 2007 race winner Will Thomas, Ohio star Glenn Gault, Jr., and WNY chargers George Skora III, Rich Skora, and Jeff Brown.  A stellar turn-out of Late Model racers is expected, with qualifying heats to determine the starting line-up for the main event.

In addition to the Budweiser 100 for the Late Models, the slate of action at Holland will include racing by the NASCAR Raginwolf.com SST Pro Modifieds, Chargers, Pro Fours, M&M U-Pull-It Figure 8 Cars, and Thiel Motorsports 4-cylinder Hornets, plus the final visit of the year by the Casey’s TQ Midget Series.

On August 29th,   Holland’s pit gates will open at 3:00 PM, grandstand gates will open at 4:00 PM, and racing will get underway at 6:00 PM.  Adult general admission is just $20.00.  Fans bringing a six-pack of empty Budweiser cans to the Complex will receive a $5.00 discount on general admission tickets.  The Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex is located on Holland-Glenwood Rd., just 1 mile west of Route 16, five miles south of the end of the Route 400 Expressway and just a 25 minute drive from downtown Buffalo.
